Are You on the Naughty List? Elf The Musical is Coming to Reynolds Hall

Broadway Las Vegas

Ever wonder what it would have been like to grow up in Santa’s workshop and have your daily diet consist of the four main food groups of candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup? Buddy, the human boy raised at the North Pole knows all about it and you can follow along as he sets out past the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then through the Lincoln Tunnel in Elf the Musical. Follow along with grown-up Buddy on his adventure in New York City as he searches to discover his true identity and find his real papa when the production comes to The Smith Center Nov. 24-29.

If you’re a fan of the original movie, Elf, the modern classic starring Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel, you will be wrapped-up like a shiny present with the stage version. It’s the creation of Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). The endearing and giddy production is filled with funny catchphrases and songs like “Sparklejollytwinklejingley.” You won’t want to be a “son of a nutcracker“ or a “cotton-headed-ninny-muggins” and miss out on this jolly extravaganza.

Elf the Musical is the third production in The Smith Center’s 2015 – 2016 Broadway Las Vegas® Series sponsored by Southern Nevada Ford Stores. Subscriptions are still available, but they are going fast and end June 5!
