Professional Development

“This workshop was so useful for my growth as a teacher and for my students. It’s provided me with more empathy and understanding for my students and helped me to bring that into my class.”
-Professional Development Participant

The Smith Center is proud to partner with the Clark County School District in the Partners in Education Program of The John F. Kennedy Center For the Performing Arts to offer creative strategies for integrating the arts in classroom learning to support arts integration across all curriculum content areas. After-school workshops and a summer institute are offered annually for educators and are led by national teaching artists. Professional development is offered in a variety of arts disciplines with connections to math, language arts, ELL, science, social-emotional learning, and inclusion for students with disabilities.

For more information, please contact the Education and Outreach Department.

“In my 28 years of teaching, this workshop has been by far the most engaging, inspiring, invigorating and applicable workshop that I can and will use in my classroom.”
