1. Set in the fictional rural town of Cob County, Shucked is stuffed with corn puns – so many, the creators stopped counting.
2. The show blends classic Broadway storytelling with modern country-pop music.
3. Songs range from emotional ballads to laugh-out-loud numbers.
4. The score was created by Grammy-winning country songwriters Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, known for crafting hit singles by such artists as Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert.
5. Shucked features a live band, giving it a genuine rootsy feel.
6. The show’s book was written by Tony winner Robert Horn, also known for the Broadway comedy Tootsie.
