Three Reasons to Volunteer at The Smith Center

Community Impact

2025 Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Ceremony

Did you know that many of the helpful folks you see working Smith Center shows are volunteers?

It’s true, and if you have strong communication and people skills, plus a desire to deliver excellent customer service, you could join them. We’ll provide the necessary training.

Here are three reasons you might consider volunteering at The Smith Center.

  1. To Be Immersed in the Arts.

Smith Center volunteers are regularly exposed to some of the top acts and productions based in Las Vegas or coming through town on tour, from Broadway stars to jazz greats to ballet dancers and beyond. Experience their talents up close, while helping to ensure that our guests delight in doing the same whenever they’re her.

  1. To Meet Great People.

Many friendships have been forged between our volunteers, who look forward to seeing one-another during shifts here and even outside their time on campus. Getting to know folks who share the same cultural interests as you can be a major perk to volunteering at The Smith Center.

  1. To Help a Nonprofit Community Anchor.

The Smith Center relies on its amazing team of volunteers to assist not only with public performances but also with its vital development and education efforts, and those volunteers take pride in assisting this important community resource. “Volunteers are massively important to the continued success of The Smith Center,” says Joseph Ralston, guest experience director. “If you’re looking for a great way to give back to your community, we’d love to see you at one of our upcoming orientation sessions.”
