Performances and Artists

Regulars know, the calendar for Myron’s at The Smith Center is constantly packed with fantastic touring artists. But every so often, we get extra excited about some folks coming in to play Las Vegas’ favorite intimate music venue, and this is one of those times.
Here are three upcoming spring acts we strongly recommend you don’t miss.
Jon McLaughlin
(April 11)
This pop marvel has toured with Kelly Clarkson and Sara Bareilles, opened for Billy Joel and recorded with Jason Mraz. But it’s the Indiana-raised, Nashville-based singer-songwriter’s own music that truly commands attention, showcasing piano-driven hooks and personal lyrics that will stick with you long after the lights go up. Stream latest album Scenarios, released last October, for earworm examples of his recent work.
Braxton Cook
(April 18)
With his 35th birthday still ahead of him, jazzman Braxton Cook has already won two Grammys and an Emmy, served as a full-time member of renowned trumpeter Christian Scott’s band, toured with bassist Christian McBride and collaborated with the likes of Rihanna, Solange and Jon Batiste. Cook’s compositions feature soulful melodies, lush harmonies and rhythmic grooves reminiscent of classic and contemporary R&B.
Rachel Bay Jones
(May 9)
Singer and actress Rachel Bay Jones was showered with Tony®, Emmy and Grammy awards for her portrayal of Heidi Hansen in the Broadway hit Dear Evan Hansen. Also acclaimed for her work in revivals of Pippin and Hair, she now appears on popular CBS series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, a spinoff of The Big Bang Theory. Joined by longtime collaborator Randy Redd, Jones returns to Myron’s to perform songs and tell stories drawn from her memorable career onstage and onscreen.
