Broadway Las Vegas

When Las Vegas native Danielle Tapia read that she’d won tickets to every Toyota Broadway Las Vegas® production at The Smith Center this season, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
“And then I was sent the tickets to add to my mobile wallet!” Tapia says. “What a gift. I am so excited!”
Tapia’s pair of parterre-box tickets to the award-winning and in-demand Broadway productions at The Smith Center will include Suffs (running October 7-12), the story of the United States’ women’s suffragette movement; the most Tony Award-winning play of all time, Stereophonic (October 21-26), spotlighting a ’70s rock band inside a recording studio; and the return of an all-time beloved family favorite, Disney’s The Lion King (November 19-30).
In 2026, Tapia’s prize will bring her back to Reynolds Hall for Monty Python stage adaptation Spamalot (February 24-March 1); tear-jerking love story The Notebook (March 31-April 5); the hilariously corn-y Shucked (June 2-7); and Hell’s Kitchen (June 23-28), featuring the music of Alicia Keys.
Tapia, a wife, mother of three and grandmother who lives in Henderson, Tapia is excited to share the theatrical experience with her family. She recently enjoyed a dazzling performance of A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical at The Smith Center with her 12-year-old son.
“I don’t know if he even knew who Neil Diamond was before the show, but we were both wowed by the whole production – the lights, the sound, the set, costume changes,” Tapia says. “It was really a special experience for both of us.”
Tapia's passion for performing arts began when her grandmother took her to The Nutcracker at UNLV’s Artemus Ham Hall during the holidays. “It was such an event, and I have magical memories of it,” she said. “It was my hope in entering this contest to be able to expose my family to theater as well.”
With a season packed with of spectacular shows ahead, Tapia is looking forward to creating many more special memories. “The Smith Center draws me in with its beautiful art deco architecture and grand design – it’s a treat just to be inside!”
