Learn about how you can help make the theater experience enjoyable for everyone with some tips on theater etiquette.

Arrive Early: Please arrive early to make sure you don’t miss the start of the show and get caught in a late seating hold. Theater admittance after show time is at the discretion of the artist at an appropriate pause in the performance.

Travel Light: Leave backpacks at home and keep purses smaller than 8"x 10"
Stay Home If Sick: We ask you stay home if you are feeling sick or showing any symptoms.
Photo/Video Policy: Photo and video policy is at the discretion of the artist. See signs at theater entry for policy relating to this show.
Wifi: Free Wifi is available to patrons while in our building. Network name: Smith Center WiFi.
We strive to make the theater experience enjoyable for everyone. Please help us by doing your part to be mindful of others and refrain from:
Talking, whispering or singing along
Using phones
Eating or unwrapping candy
Using excessive perfume
Blocking the view of other guests
Exiting the theater any other time than between songs or during a period of applause.
Guests will be asked to go through a metal detector and bag search. To expedite the process, please remove any large metal objects from your pockets and bags/purses. You may keep your keys and cell phone in your pockets or bag/purses.
Alternative accommodations for security screening will be provided to those who need it. Guests who refuse screening will be denied entry.
Oversized bags, luggage, instrument cases, and backpacks are not permitted. Bags must fit comfortably under your seat.
Weapons of any shape or size including (but not limited to) firearms, knives of any kind, throwing stars, machetes, tasers and mace.
Outside food or beverage including alcohol.
Tobacco products, e-cigarettes or vaping products.
Balloons or loud noise makers.
Miscellaneous items including outside furniture or collapsible seating of any kind, coolers, non-accessibility related transportation devices (ex: skateboards, hover boards).
Any other items deemed dangerous, hazardous, illegal or inappropriate.
Jackets and coats
Bags
Infant care bags, plastic bottles and formula
Medically necessary items
Guests can feel comfortable reporting suspicious and/or dangerous behavior to any Smith Center usher, staff or security officer.
These safety and security guidelines will be in place for all performances in Reynolds Hall, Myron’s at The Smith Center and Troesh Studio Theater. All items that do not pass security must be returned to vehicles.
Mask Guidelines
The Smith Center encourages personal choice with regard to mask wearing. There may be exceptions if touring shows add COVID-safety protocol requirements. Ticket buyers will also be notified by email of any changes to our policy.
