Performance Information

The Bad Plus are the ultimate originals – a democratic unit with a clear vision and a refusal to conform to convention. For the past two decades the Minneapolis jazz band has played with spirit and adventure, writing its own rules and doing so with a bold sense of creativity and intent. The group has won critical acclaim and a legion of fans worldwide with its unique sound and flair for live performance.

The band is set to play two unique shows March 22 at Myron’s – The Bad Plus’ first ever performances in Las Vegas during a career stretching back 25 years.

Founding members Reid Anderson (bass) and Dave King (drums) have embarked on a new piano-less incarnation of the band with Ben Monder (guitar) and Chris Speed (tenor saxophone) now in the fold, instigating a new wave of excitement and anticipation that has re-energizing its sound and inspiration.

The Bad Plus has constantly searched to bridge genres and techniques, working with such acclaimed musicians as Bill Frisell, Joshua Redman, Tim Berne, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Wendy Lewis.

Through the years, in addition to its own boundary-pushing original compositions, The Bad Plus has covered the likes of Nirvana, Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Blondie, ABBA and Aphex Twin on its albums and onstage.

This production has ended.
