Formed in England and forged in the USA, this Grammy® nominated band has spent 30 years at the forefront of contemporary jazz crafting a sound where jazz, pop and world music intersect.
With over 35 years of recording and touring, the band’s longevity may be due in part to that spirit of never trying to fit in, but to just make music that they love.
Their 2025 release, The Empire of Lights, is the first of a series of shorter musical releases that will eventually combine into a full album.’ Miles says, ‘We know that these days people listen to our music in lots of different ways but I think we all remember the thrill of bringing a new record home and listening from start to finish, so we try and make sure everything we release works in that way as well as on playlists.’
