Critically acclaimed vocalist and “Las Vegas’ First Lady of Jazz,” Michelle Johnson, returns to Myron’s at The Smith Center with Christmas in New York, a heartwarming holiday celebration inspired by the magic, music and memories of New York City during the most wonderful time of the year.

From the glow of Rockefeller Center and the sparkle of Fifth Avenue to the bright lights of Broadway and the timeless charm of Manhattan at Christmastime, Michelle takes audiences on a musical journey through the city that has inspired generations of holiday songs. Blending Broadway classics, beloved Christmas standards, jazz, pop and soulful holiday favorites, the evening captures the excitement, nostalgia, romance and wonder that make Christmas in New York unlike anywhere else in the world.

: With her signature storytelling and expressive vocals, Michelle shares the sights, sounds and spirit of the season through music that celebrates family, tradition, dreams and the joy of coming home. Whether you've experienced Christmas in New York firsthand or simply dreamed of it, this festive concert invites you to stroll snow-covered sidewalks, marvel at holiday window displays, catch a Broadway show and celebrate the season in the city that never sleeps.

Michelle is known for her soaring vocals, versatile repertoire and sold-out productions at Myron’s at The Smith Center as well as performing arts centers across the country. Beyond her work as a Broadway actor, national cabaret artist and Las Vegas headliner, Michelle has also performed, toured or recorded with legendary artists including Paul McCartney, Michael Bublé, The Eagles, Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Gladys Knight, David Foster, Sheena Easton, Wynonna, Slash, Donnie Osmond and many more.

Michelle is the 2020 Las Vegas Black Music Awards recipient of the Lena Horne Award for Musical Excellence, and she is also a 2022 and 2023 BroadwayWorld award winner, plus the recipient of the National Association of Women Business Owners Woman of Distinction Award for her contributions in entertainment.
