Donor Support Provides Matinees for Over 8,000 Students

Thanks to donor support for The Smith Center, the nonprofit gave over 8,000 Southern Nevada students a magical experience this month introducing them to the world of Jane Goodall. It also provided many with their very first live theater experience.

Desert Valley Audiology Donates State-of-the-Art Assistive Listening Devices to The Smith Center

Rona Mendelson knows all too well how her husband David is impacted when wearing hearing aids at a Broadway show. “I’ll ask him, ‘What did you think of the show? And he’ll say, ‘I didn’t really hear it,’” says Rona. Now, Smith Center guests like the Mendelsons can use new, state-of-the-art assistive listening equipment to enjoy the full theater experience.

When Sheldon and Nancy Laube searched nationwide for a new city to relocate to, the couple chose Las Vegas for a specific reason.
